Italy Map Poster Illustration. 20 years ago I was studying to become a chef and as part of my graduation we did a tour of Europe. We went to Germany, Switzerland, France and Italy.
Each country had its own things which were absolutely great and I particularly loved Italy. I loved the sights, the sounds, the smells, the culture and of course the food.
Now we get Italian food in Taiwan, same as in most countries, but as with a lot of regional food, the food in Italy was mind blowingly delicious.
Exactly the same thing as with Chinese and Taiwanese food. Chinese and Taiwanese food in the UK, where I of course live now, is ok, but it’s generally really rubbish compared to food back home. Same with my experience of Italian food in Italy.
This is my 21st map, my last map was Hong Kong and that is getting more popular (my three most popular maps right now seem to be Ireland, South Korea and France) and I’ve now got plans for my next three countries.
Now we’re hitting the end of the year, my commission work is finally getting quiet (this year has been absolutely mental busy) so I’ve planned my next three maps to be Belgium, India and for the first time a whole continent, Africa). I’m not quite sure which one I’ll do first but they should all be fun to create.
As mentioned it’s the end of the year and we’ve decided (my husband and I) to further expand our product business. This year we invested in more printers, heat presses and other equipment so we can make our own mugs, jigsaw puzzles and postcards. This time we’ve bought a sublimation oven and we’ve found a really awesome supplier of sublimation blanks, so next year we’ll have stainless steel tumblers, jewellery, wooden plaques, more enamel mugs, enamel mugs and loads of other products coming.
Literally can’t wait to share these!
