One of my favourite food relate films is “Julie & Julia” starring Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Stanley Tucci (all favourite actors of mine). Julie and Julia is based upon the book written by the same author, Julia Powell. To quickly summarise the story, American TV chef Julia Child lived in France and learnt french food. She was the first female chef to be accepted into Le Cordon Bleu and her story fascinated me.

French food is something I have little of in my life. I learnt some French cooking in culinary school and I’ve also been to France and eaten in French dining restaurants but I never eat it nowadays. Not to say I don’t like it, I do, I love it, but we just never eat it at home. But with that, French food can be extremely diverse and beautiful so based on the story, the recipes and my own knowledge of French food I came up with these French dishes.

So now I’ve illustrated British, American, Chinese, Taiwanese, Mexican, Korean, Japanese and now finally French food. Who knows what I’ll end up illustrating next.
