Maybe because I travelled so far in moving from my home country, Taiwan, to the UK, but I absolutely love travelling. I’ve had the fortune to travel to a good few countries and of course there are many countries that I would still love to visit.
Easily my largest personal project is creating illustrated maps of countries I’ve either been to or want to go to. So far, as of early 2023, I have created over 30 maps of different countries and cities from around the world.
These are really time consuming to make as there are so many details but they are a lot of fun to illustrate. Eventually I hope I can visit all of them.
Africa
This was a really tough map to illustrate but one of my most challenging really due to the sheer size of Africa. A large challenge with maps is deciding what to include and what to exclude but I think I made a really good compromise.
Available as a poster, postcard, and jigsaw puzzle.
Argentina
Completed May 2020, Argentina is a country I’m fascinated by but sadly haven’t been able to visit yet.
This map is full of fun things including beautiful foods, Tango dances and beautiful landscapes. This was a lot of fun to illustrate.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
Australia
Completed June 2020, I’ve never been to Australia but I’m completely fascinated with the culture, the wildlife, the landscapes and of course the food. This is a country I really want to visit one day.
Available as a poster, postcard, 300-piece jigsaw puzzle and 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle.
Belgium
I’ve never been to Belgium but after doing research I found it to be a really amazing, cultural, beautiful country that my husband loved me illustrating as he’s a huge cycling fan. Naturally, there is some cycling on this map.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
California
A customer request, I’ve yet to visit the USA but if I could visit, one of my top three places would be California with its weather, locations, food, and basically everything.
Available as a poster, postcard, and jigsaw puzzle.
Canada
One of many countries I would love to visit and requested many times by customers is Canada.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
Chiang-Mai
I visited Chiang Mai in Thailand for the first time December 2018 and I instantly fell in love this beautiful, relaxing and friendly city. I love the mountains, the trees, the food, the shopping, the weather everything! I used yellow as the main colourful this map as yellow reminds me of my favourite noodle soup from Chiang Mai; Khao Soi (curry noodle soup). I loved illustrating this map as it brought back happy and beautiful memories. Both Chiang Mai and Thailand are absolutely amazing!
China
China is another country that’s difficult to decide what to illustrate, due to the sheer size of it, but I’m fortunate to have travelled around China a little bit so some choices were easy, some harder to choose.
Regardless China is a super fun country to visit and illustrated.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
Cuba
Cuba was requested by a few customers and was one of the most interesting maps to illustrate, largely because I knew nothing about Cuba.
This is available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.Â
Czech Republic
This was requested by a few customers and required a lot of research as Czech Republic, or Czechia depending on what you want to call it, is a country I’ve never really thought about visiting.
But on research and talking to different people, including some people from that country, Czech Republic looks like a lot of fun.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
Edinburgh
Edinburgh is a special place for me as I lived there from 2008 to 2022. I have so many memories from Edinburgh, both good and bad, that happened in this beautiful city. I’ve included some places that have special meanings to me, including a restaurant I worked in for four and a half years and this job was the catalyst for me becoming an illustrator.
The locations in this map are some of my favourite locations in Edinburgh. Hopefully if you get a chance to visit Edinburgh one day you can use my map as a guide.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
Finland
Another highly requested map is this one of Finland. All I really knew about Finland before creating this was about Lapland but in the end, it was a really fun map to create.
Available as a poster, postcard, and jigsaw puzzle.
France
In my previous life as a chef, I travelled to France as part of my graduation from culinary school.
While we only went to Paris I absolutely loved the food, the culture, the sights, it’s easily one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities I’ve ever been to.
But going to France to really discover the rest of the country and not just Paris is definitely on my bucket list to do.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
Germany
I’ve only briefly visited Germany but I have friends that live in Germany and I also have quite a few customers from Germany but from what I’ve seen and researched Germany is a seriously beautiful country with a lot of things to see, do and eat.
This is one country I really want to visit in the next couple years.

Goa
I frequently receive map requests and after I created a map of India, I received a few requests to create a map of Goa.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
Hong Kong
New for November 2020 is a map of Hong Kong. I love the food, the sights, the culture, the big city feel of Hong Kong. This was so much fun to illustrate.
Available as a poster, postcard, 300-piece jigsaw puzzle and 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle.
Iceland
Top of my list of countries I would love to visit is Iceland. I’ve heard many great things about Iceland and know many people that have been there and loved it.
This was great fun to illustrate and I love the colours.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
India
Similar to Africa, China and the USA, India was hard to decide how to illustrate as it’s such a huge country with an enormous amount of things I could include in the map. With research, asking questions, designing and illustrating, this map of India took a good month to create.
Available as a poster, postcard, jigsaw puzzle and enamel mug.
Ireland
Despite living in Scotland I’ve still yet to travel to Ireland but it’s a country I really want to travel to in the near future. Ireland looks really beautiful, has some great food and drink and I know the Irish are really friendly. This was a lot of fun to create.
Available as a poster, postcard and jigsaw puzzle.
Italy
20 years ago I travelled to Italy while studying to become a chef. I absolutely loved the sights, the sounds, the smells, the culture and of course the absolutely incredible food. One of my favourite countries to visit and one I would go back to in an instant if the opportunity came up.
Available as a poster, postcard, 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle and 300-piece jigsaw puzzle.
Japan
One of my favourite countries, I visited Japan a few times when I was a child and it was so much fun. Japan has so much culture and so many fun things to do, see and eat its unreal.

London
London is my home as of the end of 2022. I lived in Taiwan for 25 years, China 1, then Edinburgh for 15 and now I’m in London.

Mexico
Another country I would love to visit, I love so many things Mexico whether it’s the food, the culture, the scenery, Mexican wrestling, anything, I love it.
Mexico is one of my dream destinations and this was a lot of fun to illustrate.

When I studied illustration at university a few years ago, for my final honours project I had a real head scratching moment about what to create. A lot of my contemporaries focused on contemporary traditional art but that’s not me. Now I love food, and I love travelling so I eventually decided to create my first illustrated maps, which were of the USA and Taiwan, and from there, over the course of half a decade, I have created over 30 maps of different countries, and some cities, around the world.
As with all of my work, everything is fun to look at, full of detail and a huge amount of work has gone into each map. Some maps, for example Taiwan, Edinburgh and the UK were pretty easy to make. I’m from Taiwan, I lived in Edinburgh for 15 years and my husband was born in the UK and has lived all over the country. Other counties, Cuba, Poland and India were much more difficult to create as I knew nothing about these countries prior to creating them.
Every map requires lots of research, lots of asking friends for information about countries and in many case their countries (I get a lot of requests for maps), but I love seeing the final results. Every map is available to purchase in poster, postcard and jigsaw form.
All of these maps can be purchased through the shop on this website and if you have any requests for countries you would like me to illustrate, please do get in touch.
