I love creating cool patterns and these are some of the pattern designs I have created. These are all patterns that I have created myself from scratch and in some cases applied to products, for example the Bohemian Wanderer backpacks.
Below are flower patterns, geometric patterns, retro patterns and everything is full of fun and colour.
If you want me to create a pattern for you I’d love to hear from you.
Astro Synergy
This pattern design was inspired by the folktale of moon from Taiwanese culture. A rabbit lives in the moon and he was there to make medicine. Some people also say he was there making mochi.
Dinosaur
I created this dinosaur pattern for both a bit of fun and also for children. I illustrated 6 cute dinosaurs in vibrant colours and walking around their work. I like illustrating happy this and happy characters.
Farm Animals
I love creating cute and fun animal illustrations and farm animals are something I’ve really wanted to illustrate. My vision for this pattern design is all the farm animals are having fun in their daily lives. Ms Piggy is growing vegetables, Mrs Sheep is baking cookies and Mr Moo is cheese making, and so forth. This was really fun to illustrate.
Food Party
Every year I always take different online courses to refresh both my skills and portfolio and on one of the courses I took I was tasked with creating a “Food Party” pattern. The idea is to create different food characters doing different things and because this is for a “Children’s market” the characters have to be colourful and happy.
So I designed this pattern based on a happy party theme. There is a fruit barbershop quartet, a fruit and veggie band and some fruit and veggies dancing around.
This pattern is great for children clothes and pyjamas but will also look great on fabric toys and play tents.
Grannys Attic
This pattern is a result of an online portfolio course assessment I did. The theme is “Granny’s Attic”; what kind of things can you find in granny’s attic? Vintage toys? An old radio or maybe even a dusty baby grand piano?
My granny is an old Taiwanese lady. You won’t find an old teddy bear or old doll house in her attic so I illustrated a lot of things she has in her purse and her home. You can see these in this pattern.
Hawaii Haze
This Hawaii Haze pattern design was inspired by tropical leaves, plants and flowers. I’ve never been to Hawaii but I would love to visit there one day. This is the first time I have use so many different shades of green colours in my work. I think this pattern can make nice wall paper or table clothes.
Misty Marina
This pattern illustration was inspired by the classic misty British harbour town. I use different shades of blue to colour this pattern and a lot of blue colours are leaning towards a blue and grey colour to emphasise the atmosphere of misty and gloomy British weather. As you know I like illustrating cute and happy things so I illustrated cute fishing baits, puffins and seagulls in this pattern.
Pool Party
I love summer and I love a good pool party so I illustrated a load of essential pool party items in this pattern. There is a cute beach bag, shaved ice, a cute radio, a tiki cocktail and a pretty pool party lady on the flamingo floaty. I also used a cute cocktail umbrella to add even more fun to this pattern.
Science Art
This pattern was created for my first New York BluePrint Art license Show. I wanted to create something about science for children. I illustrated some talking flowers, mushrooms with many eyes and runaway octopus trying to rescue his friend and of course lots of equipment in this pattern.
Sealife Friends
I found myself really into drawing “weird looking fishes” when I was illustrating my map of Canada. So I created this pattern with all the funny looking fish. I know normally people will illustrate beautiful fishes but I just can’t help but illustrate funny looking fishes.
I created this pattern for the children’s market and I think this pattern can fit in so many different children’s product, such as, clothes, bedding, play tent, bib, fabric diaper, stationery…..etc.
Unicorn
Unicorns have been a very popular topic for many years now so this unicorn pattern is on top of my to do list. I illustrated all the unicorns with very dreamy and girly colours and accompanied with beautiful flowers.
Tropical Patterns
One of my most recent patterns involved both normal and abstract tropical patterns. I applied these patterns to various products, more of which you can see and read about on my blog.
I’m a Taco Kind of Gal
I love tacos, burritos, any kind of Mexican food so I made these patterns based on this theme.
Ocean Child
I recently created an illustrated children’s book for a local client and the book had a nautical theme. It was all about a shark and his friends and family so I thought I’d make a nautical themed pattern. I absolutely love the children’s pyjamas I created with my pattern.
Kawaii Sushi
Kawaii (cute in English) sushi. I love sushi and I love cute things so what better than to combine two of the things I love the most.
Bohemian Wanderer
I wanted to create a series of products and patterns with a bohemian look. I love all things vintage and I especially like boho/bohemian style fashion so I created some illustrations, patterns and products that look great, especially when applied to everyday usable items like backpacks.

My Little White Cat
Influenced by my daughter playing with my cat. They really love each other and play with each other a lot.
Other Patterns
Some other fabric designs I’ve been working on. It’s really cool seeing your patterns printed onto real products, although the image to the left is a mockup.
