Over the course of about four years, I worked with Snapchat where I created a really huge number of cute Snapchat stickers. Most of my work was creating Geofilters, which Snapchat users could engage with based on the location they used the Snapchat application. Essentially, a Snapchat user would go onto the app and a sticker icon, or Snapchat sticker, whatever you want to call it, would appear on their device and this could be shared on social media.
During these four years I must have created several thousand Snapchat stickers. Snapchat would basically give me a brief, let’s say create 35 stickers for Australia day, ramadan, hanukkah, something LQBGT or anything, I literally worked on hundreds of projects, each with a different theme.
Snapchat are easily the largest client I have worked with to date and were largely a joy to work with. Working with Snapchat also allowed me to really work on my hand lettering skills which has hugely benefitted my own products and work with other clients.
Artist Pack
This series of sticker illustrations designed and illustrated for Snapchat Artist Pack which will be featured on Snapchat soon. My design idea for this series of stickers are fun food puns and fun props puns. I love illustrating objects, food and drink and cute characters so this project is perfect for me.Â
Womens History Month
This series of sticker illustrations are for Women’s History Month in the USA. The brief required something feminine and to avoid any characters while keeping everything simple but sweet. So I created this series of stickers with romantic colours that makes all of the illustrations look cute and sweet.
Japanese Spring Vacations Festival
Snapchat commissioned me to create a series of stickers and geo filters for a Japanese Spring Vacation Festival. I love Japan so it’s great to work on something Japanese related so I included cherry blossoms and delicious Japanese spring foods for this beautiful and fun holiday.
Auckland Pride
Snapchat commissioned me to create a series of pride stickers and filters for Auckland New Zealand Pride event. One of my mood board inspirations was rainbow food. So I use this as my main inspiration to create all these cute rainbow stickers.
Hannukah
Hanukkah is another fun project that was commissioned by Snapchat. I really enjoy illustrating stickers and filters for this Jewish holiday and learned some Jewish culture behind this holiday.
Autumn
I really like illustrating seasonal and holiday themes. Here is another example to show my passion in this kind of illustration. I’ve worked with Snapchat for two years and I mainly create illustrations and designs for their holidays but whatever they task me to do I always really enjoy creating illustrations for them.
Australia
My largest project so far with Snapchat, they asked me to create well over 100 stickers and geofilters for Australia. Obviously I’m based in the UK, and I’ve never been to Australia, so I had to do a lot of research and quite a lot of asking questions with my Australian friends.
I created stickers and geofilters for various events that took place in Australia but if you look through you can get a good idea of what events were covered.
Russia
Russia was a lot of fun to illustrate as the architecture is really complicated but beautiful and of course I don’t speak or know any Russian language. So I had to do a lot of research and each sticker took a while to illustrate.
France
I was asked to create around 100 stickers and geofilters for Snapchat’s French speaking audience. Each batch had a slightly different theme, some were for days and time of the week, others had themes, but all were a lot of fun to create.
UK
After illustrating France and Australia I was asked which country I would like to illustrate so I chose the UK. Why the UK? Well it has been my home for the last decade so I ended up creating a load of stickers related to holidays in the UK.
Ramadan
I knew absolutely nothing about Ramadan before being given this project but I do have some friends that take part in Ramadan and of course the internet is full of lots of information so I created the below.
